Personnel performing inspection functions report to the Chief Inspector and are responsible for performing duties as directed and assigned.
Inspector(s) are responsible for performing preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process and final inspections on civil aviation articles in accordance with the current technical data provided in the manufacturer’s instructions for continued airworthiness, Service Bulletins, service letters, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices, and other data acceptable to or approved by the FAA.
Inspector(s) are specifically responsible for:
1. Ensuring that they are thoroughly familiar with the inspection methods, techniques, aids, tools and equipment used within their assigned area of responsibility.
2. Maintaining proficiency in using the inspection aids in their assigned area of responsibility.
3. Ensuring that the inspection tools and equipment, including inspection aids, used to perform inspections are in proper working order and the proper calibration information is affixed.
4. Understanding the current specifications involving inspection tolerances, limitations,
5. Ensure all inspections are properly performed and recorded, and all records are properly executed before final approval for return to service of articles maintained or altered by this repair station.

Position Overview:
Perform Line Maintenance on the CC150 Polaris Aircraft (Airbus A310) as a member of the shift and deployment crews. The Aviation Mechanic is responsible for completion of the project in a timely manner, provide “First Response “ for incidents and accidents representing Premier Aviation and IMP Aerospace, providing support as required IAQ DND and IMP Aerospace Emergence Response Plans and Contractor Procedures. Provide on the job training for Junior Aviation Mechanics.
Key Areas of Responsibilities:
- Have Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) to complete assigned maintenance on aircrafts and to ensure airworthiness certification after servicing and maintenance tasks are completed. Prepare aircraft for Technical Dispatch and aircraft certification/release to operations;
- Performing all level maintenance on mechanical, structural, electrical and/or avionics systems and components, including but not limited to servicing, inspecting, removal, cleaning, repair, installation, interior configuration changes, testing and certification of maintenance. Provide ramp duties and crash and salvage response;
- Ensure completed maintenance is recorded IAW the requirements of Maintenance Policy Manual (MPM) and technical dispatch is executed IAW the requirements of Maintenance Control manual (MCM);
- Perform runs on engines and auxiliary power units as well as aircraft system monitoring when aircraft systems must be powered while on the ground for extended periods;
- Elementary Maintenance and servicing tasks on the CC150 Polaris (Airbus A310);
- Ensuring all needed tools, materials, documents, protective and communication equipment as well as all facility assets are used properly, available and kept in good condition.
- Keeping all work environment clean and organised at all times by following proper policies and procedures.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures established by the company and clients for the Aircraft Maintenance Program including documentation control of aircraft maintenance record set (AMRS) and electronic record keeping system ( ERKS);
- Participate in briefings with customer aircrew in regards to all aspects of the project.
- Attend training for trade and personnel development and for qualification /certification purposes;
- Perform other tasks and duties as may be required from time to time;
Position Requirements:
- Licensed AME (M2, E or S), minimum of 5 years’ experience, aircraft type endorsement on (A310) an asset and will consider similar experience.
- Possess detailed knowledge of Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA), DND TAA- approved MPM for the AMO including MCM, interrelationship between technical airworthiness program and the ability to analyse and make sound decisions regarding scenarios covering ACA responsibilities
- Possess a valid driver’s license in order to operate vehicles and aircraft tow tractors;
- Subject to DND Code of Service Discipline (CDS) when accompanying any DND unit or any other element of the Canadian Forces that is on service or active service in any place;
- Canadian Citizen and eligible to meet requirements for Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP), U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Canadian government security clearances, and to meet requirements for issue of a Green Canadian Passport.

The Aircraft Painter applies acquired skills in all phases of aircraft painting while maintaining compliance with all safety, company, federal, state and local regulations. This worker reads and interprets blueprints, manufacturers’ and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, technical data, engineering data, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of preparing and painting aircraft and aircraft components.
The Aircraft Painter applies technical knowledge of painting processes and applies required expertise in washing, masking, stripping, sanding, priming, applying design layout, painting aircraft, detailing, and other duties as assigned by supervision. This worker must possess the ability to work as a team member to accomplish production goals, have a strong quality orientation, attention to detail and must be able to prioritize workload to maintain schedules on assigned projects.
Junior Aircraft Painter
In addition to those items listed above, must have a general to broad knowledge of paint preparation and paint application processes, must have general knowledge of painting related tools such as sanders, electrostatic paint guns, pressure washing machines, acid and alodine application tools, etc. This job requires working knowledge of technical publications. The incumbent receives technical guidance and training, as required, from supervisor or higher-level technician.
Senior Aircraft Painter
In addition to those items listed above, must possess a minimum of 4 years of documented experience as an Aircraft Painter and documented training and/or certification on a variety of commercial aircraft models. The Senior Aircraft Painter applies professional technical expertise and guidance to solve complex problems by interpreting technical data such as blueprints or manufacturer’s manuals. Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft painting processes. A thorough knowledge of painting related tools such as sanders, electrostatic paint guns, pressure washing machines, acid and alodine application tools, etc is required.
The Senior Aircraft Painter must possess the experience and ability to provide technical support to structural/mechanical engineers and customers and must possess excellent organizational skills in prioritizing workload to meet aircraft delivery schedule. This worker may be responsible for providing guidance and technical expertise to lower level painters throughout all aircraft painting efforts.
